The biggest problem I currently have with board games is that I’m waiting for them. And that’s not normally an issue as developers let you know the stage they’re at with production and whatnot… but Kickstarter Limbo is when a developer says the game is shipped and on its way, but you don’t have it; some being ‘in transit’ and others being delivered as we speak. There’s always those mixed feeling when a developer stops posting manufacturing and production updates and starts letting you know how close it is to delivery; you’re hyped and waiting by the door knowing you’re going to be waiting an arduously long time. I often don’t say hello to my partner when getting home from work.. it’s usually ‘Any post?’ with an excited grin on my face, to which she’ll say no and wipe the smile right off of it. It also doesn’t help that I crave what I don’t yet have, and as great as all the games I own are, I only want to play what hasn’t yet arrived! Hopefully tomorrow I’ll receive something so I can have that gleeful moment of opening it, unboxing it and finding time to play it!
